Boot Size: 12 | Height: 6'2" | Weight: 200 lbs
I am fortunate to say that I am the proud owner of two Franco snowboards. My first was a 160 twin with “shark bite” tips that is just gorgeous. I wanted a board that would make cruddy, crowded bumped up days in the resort fun. That is exactly what I got! The board is wide to accommodate my size 12 boots but with the deep side-cuts it turns like you wouldn’t believe. I remember a day when I was coming down Gros Vente late in the afternoon giggling because making turns was just so fun- this board is TIGHT!
My second board is a 168 swallowtail. If I had to travel with just one board to any place with powder potential, this would be it. I joke that the name of the board should be Muhamad Ali because it floats like a butterfly in pow, but still stings like a bee on the groomers. One of my best experiences on this board was last winter in Japan, carving up groomers under the lights at night, then the next day I was “snow surfing” out of bounds making bottomless turns….crazy versatility. Anemometer ridge doesn’t stand a chance this winter….
Did I mention both boards are works of art? Just looking at them makes me smile, thanks Mikey!
